December 2, 2019: Harris County Community Service Department Office of Transit Services, in partnership with Harris County Precinct 1, Harris County Precinct 2, and Houston METRO will begin providing fixed bus transit services in East Harris County. The new service will provide buses in the Channelview, Cloverleaf and Sheldon (West) areas of East Harris County. In addition, a shuttle bus will be added to connect the existing Harris County Transit fixed bus transit services in the Baytown area. This bus will operate from the San Jacinto Mall to Walmart at I-10 East Freeway and Freeport with stops along the I-10 East Service Road. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Transfers to the Houston METRO fixed bus route service can be made at the Mesa Transit Center located at Tidwell and Mesa or along Uvalde Road at the intersection of Woodforest Boulevard.
